I'm just getting into biking and the farthest I've gone is about about 12 miles. I want to try and do a 37 mile loop this weekend (the shortest option in a century), but I've read that one shouldn't increase mileage like that. I'm a 55 yo jogger in reasonable shape- and there are rest stops along the route. Am I crazy to try this or do you think I could do it??!! Because it's a century there will be help along the route.
