    May SS THANK YOU!

IFjane - what a wonderful package of "local flavor." I love the print and look forward to hanging it in my bedroom. I can't wait to sample all the goodies you sent from your neck of the woods - so much for my weight reduction plans I love the note pad - never can go wrong with cat prints. Finally, thanks for the all the reading material about your home country. I love Virginia for its natural beauty is awesome. I've spent some time exploring some of Skyline Drive and hope to return soon for a good dose of R & R. Your reading material will come in handy!

Thank you again for your splendid box it made my day!

To my May SS - I've not forgotten you simply waiting for payday to arrive so I can make my final purchases. I hope to have your package in the mail by the end of the week.

Wow, Mak - it got there quickly!! I'm glad you liked it - the one thing I could not provide "locally" was a t-shirt. If you decide to head this way someday, let me know so we can plan some rides together!

Thanks to my sweet SS (SheFly). I really enjoyed everything. I have a shelf in my dining room with a few wood statues from a trip down south so the ones you sent will go great with them.

I'll take the book along with me on vacation tomorrow. I was going to have to stop at the library for something to read on the plane, but now you have that covered for me.

Hopefully someday I'll get out to Massachusetts to use the bike map. I love that they also marked the ice cream shops.....definitely a cycling must.

Thank you, SS! (MakBike - yes? Shelbyville, KY is a giveaway! )

Love the KY things - the t-shirt and all the goodies. You know, I actually have one of those Derby glasses *somewhere*. I think it's from '92 or '93 when I visited a friend in Louisville on Derby weekend (we never got to see the race, but had a fun party as I recall! ). Quite a few added to the list since then! Burbon ball was quite tasty and DH and I are working our way through the pecans. Yum!

The bunny dish is adorable and it's now my daily vitamin holder. Thanks!

And to my overseas SS - I need to finalize a few more things and will get it out this week. I'm afraid it may get there past the end of the month, but fear not! It'll be on its way!

    Dear SS,
Do not despair. Your gift is purchased and packed, but is waiting for a partner gift from elsewhere before getting mailed. It will get mailed this month ... just barely.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

    Regina:

Did the glass make it in one piece? I was fearful it would be broken in shipping but thought I would give it a shot. Your glass from the earlier Derby is probably worth $20 or so at this point. I hope the shirt fits and all the goodies are tasty and calorie free.

Glad to hear that everything arrived safe and sound! Enjoy your vacation - that's some interesting reading if you are into history. If you ever make it this way, try to come around the middle of April - we celebrate Patriot's Day, and they re-enact the battles in full period costume. Very fun to go and watch.

    Laura (from WA,obviously ),

Thank you so so much! I LOVED my package! The whole envelope smelled like the tea, and the suckers are so cute. I'm going to have to force myself to eat them they're so adorable.

We know people that are stationed at Whidbey and I've always wanted to go up to Northern WA. I've been to Seattle once for a few days on business and have wanted to go back for awhile. And when I do I'll have a biking guide book, and information on where to go.

Again, thank you so much the package was much appreciated. I've been really stressed lately and the tea/sweets were a welcomed sight.

    {Ahem}

What I meant to say is that my package from Down Under came today, and I love everything.

I'll use the Pamper Pack after my next big ride when I walk in the door wanting nothing more than to get clean again.

The cards made me laugh out loud, and the book is evil 'cause now I really want to go to Australia.

The cat is breaking in the t-shirt. (Wow,a half-marathon shirt of my very own. I never thought it would happen) So far, it seems comfy. I can't wait to try it on.

The best of the bunch, though is the little purple guy. He now has a rather long face, but that will change. What great stress relief. (For those reading this, he's a purple latex, um, blob with stuck-on eyes and a yarn moustache. I can change his shape by poking and prodding, squishing and squeezing. Great fun.)

Yep, nothing better on Earth than a SS package.

    Thanks
