    I took Kimmyt mt biking!

I know this is OT, and should be up in the other forum, but since Kimmy and I visit here more often, I wanted to share the story with you guys.

So Kimmy crossed over the PA state line and joined the dark side today. She met the DH, one of our buddies and myself this morning at one of regular riding spots.
Let me suffice it to say that SHE KICKED BUTT!!!! And she rode clipless.

I leant her my bike Bob, and once they were introduced in the parking lot we headed out. I gave her commentary on what was coming up, roots, downhill, log, uphill. You would never know that she was a newbie. She only unclipped a couple of times. She did fall down once, but heck, everybody falls, and she was going over a big log. She is a trooper, and I think there is a very good mt biker lurking within!

    Thanks for sharing!

A bruised ear? That's one part I'm pretty sure I've never bruised.
The best part about going up hills is riding back down!

    Woooohoooo.

You dirty girls you. Sounds like you had fun!!

I never used to go out for a MTB that I didn't fall. So much so that I was banned from any MTB rides for 6 weeks before my wedding to prevent any unsightly scrapes/bruises. I miss those days.

Ah, the falls. I almost miss them, but not quite. They make great stories, though! Two seasons of the philosophy that if you're not falling, you're not riding hard enough. What can I say? You grow! heehee Not me today, that's for sure!

Kimmy, you rock! Welcome to the dirt!

    Hugs & butterflies,
