    Hair question

Last year I had super short hair, so it wasn't an issue. This year it's longer - but nowhere close to making a ponytail. It makes the sweat run right down my neck into my jersey. What do you do to keep your hair out of your face or off your neck? The helmet's a given-no need to ask.

I use a buff and I love it. I don't even feel it when it's on, I get no hair or sweat in my face, it doesn't interfere with the helmet, I don't need to bother working a ponytail out and when I take it off I throw it in the wash with my cycle clothes. I have 3, I really need more because I've gotten into the habit of wearing them even when I'm not riding.

I personally love the original "how to wear" video - something about it makes me smile

I own 5 (I think), it's as bad as my sock illness. Wear them in the summer for sweat management and in the winter to keep my ears warm. Carry one in each of my bikes for emergencies. I've actually had buff emergencies!

Love my AV buffs. Since I got them, I have worn one on every ride. No more "helmet hair" or sweat in face, etc.

I wear a skull cap under my helmet. A nicer one has a sweat band sewn in so that sweat doesn't run down your glasses or into your eye. Also the cap keeps the hair under control.

And sometimes, I use a bandana as a poor man's substitute.

I just use one of those Goodys-like elastic headbands. You can get like a pack of 3 at your local retailer for pretty cheap. I do have to tuck my hair behind my ears under the helmet otherwise I just look plain silly but the headband does a great job of keeping the hair out of my face.
