shebeest century, pi microsensor or terry bella

i am doing a century ride this june and i am still looking shorts. i have been training in a gel pad pair of shorts but enough is enough. i know what shorts i will like best is subjective and i know there has been many a forums on this subject but it would help me to read just a bit more

so i bought shebeest century and pi microsensors to check both brands out. i may get the bella's just to test their fit. i am on the littler side of the height chart. i am only 5'. don't know if that matters.

the two pairs of shorts i have are a very different feel. the shebeest's pad kind of feels like a diaper but it is doable. the pi's feel goos while i am just hanging around the house. i have not riden in either yet, though. i guess that will be the true test.

can i do a test ride with underwear and still return them. or will there too much a difference if i wear my underwear than without? i am sure returning shorts after having done a long ride without wearing underwear is a no, no.

    any thoughts? thanks

I think once you have ridden in them they are considered USED shorts, and not returnable unless there is a manufacturing defect. Would you want to buy shorts some woman had ridden and sweated in, even though wearing panties, thinking they were new? I would prefer NEW shorts if that's what I was paying for.

It's just one of those things- you have to decide after simply trying them on.

I love the bellas. I am five one, so they are long, but I like them that way. The flat front is great and they have a high lycra content. The chamois changed a bit from 2006; I liked the old one better, but I think I just need to wash the new ones a bit more.
    Try them!

no, i would not want to wear shorts that some woman had worn and sweat in. nor do i think it is copacetic to put another person in the position of thinking they are buying a new product that has been used, especially one of such a hygenic nature. a pretty gross thought, ya know?

my point in asking about returning the shorts after being worn was to see if any of these companies stood by their products comfort as it is advertised. kind of like an l.l. bean thing; if the product is unsatisfactory for any reason they take it back.
