Something has been bugging me about people selling those on eBay, do ya think anything past the dollar they paid for it originally goes to cancer?

Kim,
I expect not, unfortunately, and there are an awful lot of sellers making a lot on these! I actually decided to buy one from eBay since I need a Youth size (it's huge enough - I have tiny wrists) and was afraid my LBS might not have Youth sizes or might be sold out - plus it would cost me as much in gas to get there as I'd be paying extra ordering via eBay, and the eBay route was much quicker. I ended up losing numerous auctions because they kept going to as high as $4-5 - and that didn't even include shipping! I finally got one through Buy-It-Now for $2.99. A bit of a rip-off, but at least a buck of it went for a good cause, and I'm enjoying wearing it!

Wow, I didn't know they were so popular and in such short supply that people could sell them on eBay. They must have sent all their available inventory over to France because there was a big Livestrong crew there selling them along the Tour route. It was very cool to see that everybody wanted to have one. I had an airport security guard try to convince me to give him mine. I almost gave it away figuring I could get another one back in the states. I'm really glad I didn't.
My guess is that since there is a big demand for the wristbands, they will make more of them so they can raise more money for cancer. At least I hope so!!
You can still order them online directly from the Lance Armstrong Foundation, but they're backordered until next week. At least, that's what it said when I ordered mine a few weeks ago. And, you can make an additional donation at the same time.
Skibum - were you at the Tour??? Was it incredible? We're thinking about going next year, especially if Lance rides again.
Yes, I was at the Tour for the stages in the Alps and the finish in Paris. It was fabulous! It was amazing seeing first hand how incredible the riders are and very much fun being a part of the crowd watching them go by. And, on a personal level, I got great satisfaction out of realizing my goal of riding up Alpe d'Huez.
If you get a chance to go, do it. It is worth the trip!
