Bike Picnic

Someone posted a link to the Large Fella on a Bike blog last year and I've been following it ever since. I just have to share his latest post: Large Fella on a Bike: Picnicin'. This guy really knows how to have a good time on a bike

Tried to access the link but it won't work. My son cycles with me sometimes and we were just talking last night about starting to go further afield. He suggested the Avebury Stone Circle which is about 16 miles from where we live. I suggested we take a picnic with us and have a nice day out. We'll probably do that in a few weeks time as our weather gets warmer. It's nice to use the bike for fun as well as the more serious stuff (like getting to and from work etc.)

That, to me, is what biking's all about. The bike is a great tool to get stronger or for setting and achieving goals, but you should be able to have fun with it, too!

I think it's cool how Chloe was engaged in the whole process. I can't imagine how long it took to pack for that excursion!

I liked how he chronicled Chloe and new friends, in particular the work-around for them to get to eat. (as well as the responses to Large Fella and the perceptions of new food)
Very adorable. That family is full of adventurers, and yea to what Kali said, lets bring fun back to biking!
