    OfftheGrid... GOOD LUCK ON SUNDAY!

Good luck on your first 5K this coming up Sunday! I know you are very exicted about it!

Replying to a message by KSH on 2007-04-23

So, you have a 5K coming up this weekend?

YES AND I'M REALLY EXCITED!!!!!!! Can you tell? It's actually a piggy-back event to a half-marathon.

ANYHOW, it's the first 5K where I'm going to attempt to jog the whole thing. But if I have to stop to walk for a minute or two, I'm not going to consider it a failure or anything. I've actually only done 3.1 miles without walking twice, and both times were on the treadmill. I'm hoping the excitement of the moment, the bands and the stadium finish will help me do the race without walking. A PR would be nice, too.
Have fun and run as far as you can! Then come back with a detailed race report.

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside thoroughly used-up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: WOW WHAT A RIDE!!!!"

Way to go OTG. You know if I still lived in PA, I'd be there in person to cheer you on. I know you can do it. You've come a long way in such a short period of time. I am so proud of you.
