I'm bereft.
My Carradice bag that I love --
Only I used it on my handlebars.
And both metal snaps have pulled through the canvas.
Has anybody else had the this prob with Carradice, or with canvas bags?

Can you fix it? I have a pair of snap-pliers that can be used to place snaps, and they are pretty easy to use. Maybe use some iron-on patching from underneath to reinforce the canvas, then place new snaps?
Or if you can't fix the snaps, maybe get some buckle-and-strap assemblies and replace the snaps with buckles? (and the assemblies might patch the holes left by the ripped-through snaps)

Hmm. I don't know. I think I'd be more inclined to maybe use some velcro. There's a zipper under the flap so I can keep it closed. I'm just sad that the snaps pulled through. It's possible that it's because I'm pulling from above, and sometimes pulling with one hand, putting more strain than if it were on the back and I were off the bike getting into it.

I don't know what to tell you regarding a fix for your bag, but I bought the same bag in black, but ended up not liking it. I only rode with it once, so its in new condition. I was planning to return it and got busy and then too much time passed. If you are interested in buying it make me an offer.
Take it to a luggage repair shop. They can fix it up.
