Yountville-Atlas-Mt Veeder road ride on Sat, 3/31

Start: Yountville Park (MP reports the presence of elephants there)

When: Ready to ride at 10 am (will be moved earlier if it turn warm)

What: Over to Silverado Trail, up/down Atlas Peak, through Napa, up Mt. Veeder and down Oakville Grade into Yountville. Those who want more climbing can add in about a 6 mile round trip up Dry Creek to the intersection of Trinity and Cavedale before descending Oakville. A slightly easier option is to ride Dry Creek rather than Mt. Veeder Rd.

    Length/climb: 54 miles and 4,400-4,500 ft climbing

    Route Map: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path...e-Atlas-Veeder

    Weather: http://www.weatherunderground.com/cg...ery=Napa%2C+CA

Clarifying - there are two parks (to my knowledge) in Yountville. The one I referred to (with bathrooms) is at the north end of town, just off Madison Street. It's actually sandwiched in the triangle between Washington, Jackson and Lincoln Streets (Presidential!) and the bathrooms are on Lincoln.

(SK the other is the one we walked to with the bocce ball tournament going on.)

And it's called Yountville Park. Zoom in on the map in the link.

We always drive to Yountville via Silverado Trail so I didn't want to give anyone confusing directions. Thought they could look at the map.

Ah - we always called it Jackson Square park - don't know why.

I just made a few corrections to the cue sheet if anyone cares. It has not been proofread or tested or nuthin'. Use at your own risk.
