Do I look like an idiot yet?

Gods! I came out of the pool today looking like a complete idiot.

I was swimming 35 min freestyle (yeah I'm opening this thread just to brag ). I have rather large goggles and the edges totally showed when I came out. And the nose bridge too. How embarrassing.

Do you really want advice on how to avoid unsightly goggle lines or do you want me to congratulate you on 35 min freestyle?

    Just teasing!!

That's awesome. I can't believe how far your swimming has come. It's a big feet to swim 35 min freestyle. Will you tell us how far you went?

    Hee hee ....
that's the fix I am in. I can't keep track. Quite a bit more than 1K perhaps.
Hence I went on an extensive surfing spree and came up with the following options:

A ring lap timer to the tune of 45$

This thing: $2.50 it even says it is a genuine livestrong wrist band

And finally... something for the creative ones among us.

It's for golfers and comes as a keychain, but for a wristband, one could do their own beadwork. You slide one over per stroke in case you're a golfer.
The beads must be quite tight on that ribbon, then they'd stick where they were put.

I guess the goggle lines can't be avoided.

PS Wahine: I do, indeed, have rather big feet.

    I hear ya!

I got out of the pool at 7 AM on Friday... and still had goggle marks around my eyes at Noon.

I keep track of my laps by yelling out the number after I leave the wall. For some reason, if I say it outloud, I don't forget.

Gerat job on the 35 min swim!!!! You're becoming quite the fish!
I like the lap counter wristband thingy- I might have to check that out! I use hairbands (one for every 100), but that gets cumbersome and I've never figured out another way to count that I could keep track of. I may have found my new counter! Thanks!

As for the goggle marks- consider them a badge of honor. When I USED to swim in the morning before work (can't drag my butt outta bed anymore), I'd have goggle marks all morning. After my first 4 class periods quit making fun of me, I was fine.

    Great job Rabbit!!!
