Unhappy I lost the shorts from heaven

    Hi gals,
I'm new to the group; here's my first post.

Ten years ago I bought a pair of factory outlet Lands' End shorts for 7 bucks. If I had known how much I'd love them, I would have bought a half dozen right then. Alas, I didn't.

They were baggy, nylon web belted, gusseted crotch, extremely durable, quite long, made of some synthetic rip-stop-type material. Needless to say, Lands' End has no idea what I'm talking about, a decade later...

After ten years of real hard use, they finally gave up the ghost (in quite a dramatic way, but that's another story!) They owed me nothing, I admit. But I'm still at a loss! All I want is a pair of baggy (like hiking shorts) shorts with no seam on my saddle for the times I'm just riding to the store or a friend's house.

Any recommendations out there for a woman who wants to spend under 25 bucks?

    Sincerely,
    jbug

look at climbing clothes. many of them are made with gusseted crotches. I pick up Gramicci shorts from Sierra Trading Post for under $25 all the time.

Great suggestion. I picked up a pair of closed-out gramicci shorts at the local REI. Can't wait to see how they ride. (I like how they look already.) Somewhat thicker than my old faves, but I must start looking forward, mustn't I?!

    Thanks,
    Jbug
