    Summer Plans

Thom's gig at Lonely Planet is ending in June, his choice. Now that SAP is essentially done, all the interesting computer stuff happens in Melbourne and we're not moving. He says they are not paying him enough to be bored.

So, he's taking the summer off with me. We have the obligatory trip back to Maine in July to see family. We're planning two sizable camping trips, one to Utah with the bicycles - mountain bikes and maybe the new tandem.

The other trip will be a motorcycle trip through Wyoming, Montana and the Dakatoas focusing on the national parks in each.

I know we have some TE ers in those areas and it would be fun to hook up. We haven't really set dates yet. I'm still trying to decide if I want to do doubles this year or a tri, both, nothing...

Plus since it's just us, we can be flexible.

Look me up whichever year you make the trip to British Columbia.

It's on our list! The summer is just not long enough to do everything we want.

We'd like to be home enough to actually sail some this summer too.

S'alright. Next summer we'll probably be better bike hosts. We'll know the Okanagan valley so much better by then. OH, and DH will be making plumber money, too, so we'll actually be able to entertain and go places, too!

Have fun with your travels and the planning thereof!

OOH! Can you bring the tandem with you to Maine? We have some AWESOME tandem loops, and we can build in your climbing for you...

I want to. But Thom's being difficult. He thinks traveling with the bike on the plane is a hassle. I don't see it that way.

We're staying with my sister in Windham. I think cycling around Sebago Lake would be cool. I was going to do that after my Nova Scotia trip last year, but was kind of tired of riding and just wanted to relax.
