    Sheila Moon boleros?

Hi Susan, any idea when the boleros by Sheila Moon will be arriving?

This is a moderate hijack, but I just got wool arm warmers from Sheila Moon and I LOVE them. I wanted to sleep in the the first night I got them. They are so yummy fuzzy warm. Makes me want more wool - if I were more liquid right now I would start buying up all kinds of wool stuff!!

Just to be accurate...these are the specifications of the Sheila Moon "dri-release wool fleece" material:
    "Dri-Release Wool Fleece": 11% Wool, 81% Polyester, 8% Lycra. Wicking, Anti-Bacterial, & UV Protection.

I got the SM wool fleece hoodie for my daughter for Xmas (made from the same material as the "dri-release wool fleece" arm warmers), and it is indeed VERY "yummy fuzzy warm"! But we should note that it is actually only 11% real wool, and 89% polyester/lycra blend. It won't have all the typical characterisitcs (either good or bad) of real wool. Sure is soft and fuzzy, though!

Okay - well it is the most wool I have in athletic gear (aside from my smartwool socks) right now, and I am really liking it. Maybe it's a good way to "break into wool"....

It's as good a way to break into wool as any other...the SM hoodie was so incredibly soft and cuddly I had a hard time not keeping it for myself!

Jo -- Sheila's website has her boleros, in prints and solids, so you can buy them directly from her. The price is $39 and she has in plum. By the way, the prints are quite nice. These are different from the ones that Terry sells, as the backs are longer. More like a little jacket and less of an arm warmer.

Great ! They must have been added just recently, I had checked the Sheila Moon website the other day & they weren't there.

Hopefully TE will have them in stock soon

We've already received the armwarmers, shorts & knickers. Sheila ships to us as soon as she gets product available, so if *she* has the boleros already, we'll have them within a day or two. (We're 2 shipping days from her.) We're still waiting on jerseys and other pieces as well.

Anyone know how the boleros fit compared to the Terry ones?

I tried ordering the Terry one last fall. I have fairly broad shoulders and it just didn't work for me. I started with the S/M and it was great except that the part across the upper back wasn't wide enough and the whole thing pulled. Then I tried the L/XL and it fit well across the upper back, but the arms were loose and floppy.

I'm really not a prude, but....I don't think Sheila Moon's webmaster noticed the camel toe and the nipple pop. A little Photoshop would have taken care of that.

Hah! I just ordered and received a bolero (light blue), which fits perfectly and a pair of the knee warmers, which are also the first leg/knee warmers that actually fit me. When I opened the package, I read through the catalogue that was included. I'm no prude either, but a few of these items seem a bit "sexy" for riding. The prints are beautiful and the things I bought are well made, but I wonder who buys a jersey that has a giant keyhole opening in the front...

Well, I wouldn't buy a keyhole top becuase it might create a really weird tan...
But generally speaking, I do like biking apparel that is somewhat "sexy"- meaning form fitting or with flattering curvy seams and lines. I love my better biking body as opposed to my former flabbier heavier self- and I like to wear my new body with pride. I confess I LIKE to look sexy!
(not to be confused with looking like a "cheap ho" though, but I don't see too many biking clothes looking like that...)

Poiple? Real poiple or just lavendar?

The LBS was trying to talk me into red shorts today. Red shorts, AV jersey and purple bolero. You think the cars could see me? You think they wouldn't crash as they burst into laughter? Man, look at her . . . . .!

There would be cars crashing every which way because of your hot-ness!! They'd be saying, "Wow, look at that totally hot chick in red and poiple!!"
