    Customise Your Cleats?

Like most people, I have one foot bigger than the other - we are talking about maybe half a centimetre. This is not a problem with street shoes, or even runing shoes, but with my cycling shoes, that extra 5mm is an issue.

The problem is on the right foot, where I'd be very happy if I could just nudge the cleat forward a few millimetres. Problem is, the cleat is already at it's limit in terms of forward position (look pedals, big red floatly teflon cleats).

If I could just put a keyhole file into the hole on the cleat and file out a little bit I think that could work.

Has anyone tried this or something similar?

You CAN drill out the holes in your shoes (drill them out forward or even make new holes). Just get a drill with a very small drill bit, or a Dremel (sp?) tool. The oval washers will keep the cleats in place no matter what the location of the holes.

    Good Luck,
    Nina
