    Caloundra Triathlon this weekend

WOOHOO! My first "elite" sprint tri is this weekend! Third Tri this season

    400m swim 15km ride 4km run

This is not an ENTICER distance... But is a similar distance to what I've done at my last tri at Raby bay (300m swim 10km ride 2.5km run) so think I'll do okay even if I'm at the back of the pack and versing some of the real tri legends in the state.

Training's going well. I can swim 400m now. :P I've done mt cootha twice so 15km on the flat should be no worries and can "jog" a hilly 4km (there's nowhere FLAT near me to try that)

Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me!

Two weeks after that is the Luke Harrop Tri on the gold coast where I'll be back to doing the "enticer distance of 300m swim, 10km ride and 2km run.

    Talking

I'm heading to Caloundra on Sunday to watch the Tri. A friend of mine and I decided it would be good to go and at least watch a Tri before competing in one and thought it may also provide us with that extra motivation to keep our training up.

Do you know your race number light? I'll have to remember to take the camera and if I come across you, I'll take some happy snaps.

Best of luck for the Tri. Its suppose to be about 30 degrees (86 F) so make sure you slip, slop, slap.

WOOHOO! Mel you have nothing to worry about. But come along and enjoy it! ^_^ The enticer distance this time is incredibly short.

Yeah! It'll be 30 degrees and the water will be a VERY warm 25 as it has been for quite a few months.

No. The race numbers aren't allocated until the day.

However Mel, You can look out for this bike and the rider in this outfit... And that will be ME! ^_^

I am very late getting to all the posts

    but here is a belated WHOOO HOOOOO ! ! ! ! WAY TO GO ! ! ! !

It sounds like you are having a great season! I think your times sound very reputable - my goal is just to git er done in less than 2 hours

I LOVED the writeup AND I am glad to hear your HR gets up to 190 - I have been a little panicky because mine hangs around 176 on what I consider a not too fast run where I can still talk brief sentances - I thought maybe I was a heart attack waiting to happen

Once again WAY TO GO ! ! !

It's about the journey and being in the moment, not about the destination

    I am also way late,

    Congratulations!

Thanks so much for the report, its great motivation for me to read about others' accomplishments. Best of luck on the next one too!
The best part about going up hills is riding back down!
