    This is SO Unfair!!

This morning my daughter rode her bike to school. She hasn't done that before. I finished a meeting early and was actually going to be home by noon - so I was going to go for a ride and then ride home with her. We live up a BIG hill and I wanted to help her - and carry her backpack.

    So now it's pouring rain.

She sent me this pathetic text message from school "its rainin".

    Dang it!

We'll have to try again next week. Work's been so crazy I haven't been home as much and I really was looking forward to a ride with her this afternoon.

Oh - and DH rode his bike to work in the city today. No rain jacket of course. So he'll probably be wanting a ride, too.

    DH can fend for himself.

PP needs support. That's cool that she wanted to ride!

    It could be worse...

Today, on the one day we'd have the change with reasonable weather for a ride together, we get a call the my DF has chestpains.

He's OK, but only after Silver spent the afternoon in the ER with him.

Yup, Mr. S that is worse. Hope he's okay.

Yeah, V I was really glad she wanted to ride. Mike rode down with her because he commuted and I was going to ride back with her. She suddenly asked last weekend to be able to ride around town with her friends by themselves, and we told her we needed to do some riding with her on the streets first to make sure she was safe. So we've been doing some little rides with her. The trick is getting her up and down our hill. At least she wants to - I just didn't want to spoil it for her making her ride in the rain.

Yeah, that is a big, honking hill you live on. Still raining? It's beginning to cloud over here.
