    Chocolate Fish

This is to the several TE members to whom I promised chocolate fish in 2006

The year kind've got away on me, work stuff, all three parents/p-in-laws with increased medical issues, son leaving school, etc etc etc...

All life-stuff we all deal with.

This is a generic apology to those to whom I have promised chocky fish either to swap for something or as payment for something... they will be there soon. I wont post til March - February is our hottest month and don't want them arriving to you all wilted.

Again - sincere apologies, this year has started more "manageably" and I hope to fulfill my promises soon.

I don't think anyone wants a melted fish.
(not one of those you promised but very concerned anyway).

Margo... they're not quite white, but not really pink.
I think they've changed the colour with the increased awareness of red food colouring.

Queen... there was a big discussion somewhere about chocky fish but I can't find it.

Essentially, choclate fish are a NZ icon - right up there with pavlova, jandels, black singlets, buzzy bees, gumboots, kiwifruit, lemon and paeroa, hokey pokey icecream etc etc

Yes, they are a food - but no fish involved. They are a soft yummy marshmallow coated in milk chocolate.

They are often used as a reward, or as an acknowledgement.... eg

"I owe you a chocolate fish for that"
"Wow, good effort - chocolate fish I reckon"

When students find spelling/editing mistakes in course books, I give them a chocolate fish!
