    Talking My new Orbea

She has finally arrived in the mountains of NC!!! Will be adding a pink seat soon. Unfortunately for us tall girls - the Diva in pink and black is too small of a frame - so here is the guy frame with as much pink as I can think to add. Anyone know of any pink tires???

    Debi

First ride update: Rides like a dream - nice and stiff, but comfortable - easy transitions with climbing in and out of saddle. Crisp shifting - good power transfer with climbing. Descends great!!

Details I did not have time to post this morning: SRAM, Compact crank, 34/50 and 11/26, Reynold carbon ergo bars, Ksyrium ES wheels, 54 cm frame.

Those Orbea's are some super sex-ay bikes. Congrats and let us know how it rides!

TE carries the Schwalbe Stelvio in pink. I had them on one of my workhorse bikes and they were great. I wore them out so I just replaced them with armadillos. The pink looked great w/my bright blue bike, so I'm thinking they will look great with your new beauty. By the way, I saw the Diva version of that bike in pink and was sorely tempted. Luckily, my stable is full. You've done good with the pink accents, though. ENJOY! Think NO SNOW so you can ride all winter.

Its too late now, but if you ever need a new headset chris king makes one in pink. I have also seen headset covers and bar end covers in pink (in the terry catlogue) and I presume you are awaiting a terry butterfly donna saddle in pink. BTW Schealbe stelvios are my tire of choice (for performance not color) so I highly recommend them. A great light high pressure tire that is still quite flat resistant, rolls real nice. You could also pick up a pink under the seat bag (check terry catalogue). Beaturiful bike! We expect a full ride report. Please specify your size, as geometry and handling can vary a lot with size (more of a problem for us shorter gals!).

WOW! What a pretty bike. Should be a sweet ride! Enjoy!

Debi - thanks for the feedback on the bars. Yes, they would be much too wide for me. I, too, live in an area where I do a lot of climbing (at the foot of the Blue Ridge) but I am also rather small & have short arms & torso. I have been looking for 30 carbon ergo bars & no one seems to be making them yet.

    It's gorgeous!

I love the black and white with your own added pink accents! It's similar to my Specialized in that regard. I was also going to suggest pink water bottles, but with those cages, it might be overkill.

IFJane - they are 42 wide - seems too wide for you - sorry - I am not sure what the spec handlebar on the Diva is - it would be narrower for sure - just not sure how narrow. I am 5' 9" and have long legs and a shorter torso. I did notice that the drop position for me - descending - is a little uncomfortable - I am either going to move the hoods down a little - or make some shims to bring the levers in closer - I had the same problem on my Trek bike - and the shims were great. I am in the mountians - so I spend a lot of time climbing and descending.

Wow - those pink cables are eye-catching.

Thanks for all of the tire suggestions - I am hoping Santa will put them under my tree.

Sweet. Of course you'll need a pair of these. Welcome to the Orbea family.
