I've only done it once, and I don't recommend it.

hubby came home from Italy yesterday and oddly, he was a bit put out about the bike being in the bedroom. Eh, go figure...

I quite like having the bike(s) in the bedroom. You can look at the bike, look at your beloved, look at the other bike again...

my bike's in my bedroom too. but i am poor and rent a room in someone's house, and i cant sleep if i dont know my bike is safe. there is a huge dog door in the garage and i am paranoid about someone stealing my beloved Edward. (yes, my bike is a boy) plus, i get to stare at my bike all the time. he is so handsome.
