Why don't you just try washing the shorts again?
Did she use a different type of detergent as well as the dryer?
By the way, I always throw my cycling shorts in the dryer (on low heat), and the chamois is fine. Check the washing instructions in your shorts - there are probably some that do not tolerate drying, but others do.

Can't be that bad if they wash your clothes... just as long as they stay away from your bike clothes. Perhaps you could talk her/him into just washing dishes and taking out the trash instead?![]()
I always dry my cycling shorts in the dryer and have no problems at all. We have PI's, LG's, Performance Bike brand, to name a few.....
