    For the fashion Buffs

This weekend I finally had the opportunity to test out a Buff and was hooked. Yellow converted me. Those things are great! Nice weight for under a helmet, conformed to my head, could be folded in multiple layers, could go over my beak, etc. I like it better than a headband. So, I'm pondering the wisdom of having Amici Veloci Buffs made. 75 is the min number.

Do you think we could do it? One would make a super nice holiday or birthday or secret sister gift. Runners and skiers would like it. What about the guys? Yellow's DH apparently is debonair in his and is building a collection. I'm hoping she'll post a pic or two.

I'm just pondering at this point. What do you think? Am I off my rocker? Should I pull my toe out of the water really fast and start running the other way?

If I commit on Monday there is a slim chance we'd have them for re-shipping in early January.

Snap, you can slap me now, but I do think I can handle PayPal this time. Well , BikerZ may get some panic calls from me anyway but I think she's learned which calming techniques I respond to.

Ok, no commitment unless I see lots of interest in the next couple of days. 75 is the magic number.

Editing to add this from a post below:
If we can make this happen, I'm estimating the cost per Buff shipped in the US will be $18 including tax and postage (no insurance), but we still have to get a final quote from the manufacturer. Shipped outside the US, I'll have to do some research.

I don't know anything about the polar and thermal Buffs. The custom Buff we can get is a lightweight microfiber and fits superbly under a helmet.

I'd get one. I always have some hair that's too short to stay in a ponytail. Perhaps a buff would be the solution.

I confess my cluelessness...even though I've heard people refer to it, and seen pix of TE members wearing jerseys of it, I still don't know what "Amici Veloce" is or what it means.
Is it an actual club? If so, what do they do?

What do we do? We're fast friends. Born of TE. The first post in this thread talks about it.

I have a buff, but geez, had to listen to that guy demonstrate it (at about 90 mph!) to figure out I'm using it all wrong!!!! (mostly, it sits in a drawer in a wad.)
But, for Amici veloci, I'd be in!

When he gets back from his fun-in-the-sun conference I'll have him model so I can post some pictures.

Y'know, they also have PolarBuffs, and Windstopper Buffs, and reflective Buffs...

SK. I love you, girl!! Sign me up for TWO (2). I was hoping this would happen!!! Buffs are my usual headgear. These would be the regular, not the polar, buffs? I guess asking for both styles would be too much!! Let me know if you want any help putting this together.

Now, what about those AV socks?

As another person who missed out on the AV jerseys, sign me up for two AV buffs. I got a green one last summer, and they rock! Even more now that it's getting chilly enough to put a little something under the helmet.

I don't own a buff, but one has to start somewhere's right? I will take at least 1, maybe another for the lady I ride with.

I already stated I will need one, but I think I will actually need 2.

    Thumbs up

    OMG...how awesome...great idea, SK!!!

Sign me up for 2! (perhaps more, I need to investigate).

We are talking the regular buff, right? The polar ones are great...but the regular ones are better because they can be used year-round. I used to wear mine wet for biking in 100 degree temps and was nice and cool!!!

I've worn mine a multitude of ways...they are the perfect accessory for taming crazy hair that's not quite long enough for a pony-tail. My favorites are headband, really wide headband (like a head scarf, almost), and balaclava. The polar one is fun to twist into the most adorable beanie type hat, too!

Ok, I'm a bit slow. It took me a while to figure out what a 'buff' is. I get it - it looks like it will be great under my ski helmet! Sign me up for 2.
