    Host housing?

    Hey Ladies,

I hate to bug you - but was curious if anyone living in the Torrance/Carson/Laguna/Redondo Beach area would be willing to put my husband and I up during the Elite Track Nationals held at the Home Depot Center. The hotel costs alone eat up my dwindling racing funds and in trade I would be more than happy to put you up at my home in Seattle. We'll be traveling through October 3-9. If you can provide any portion of that time - we'd greatly appreciate it. Who knows - you may be hosting a future national champion!

Thanks - and I hope to hear from you soon.

    Hey Jen --

Are you guys driving? If so, and if you're passing through Central California on Highway 99 (or even on I-5), you're welcome to shack up here overnight. There's some great riding around here for training rides, too.

Just PM or email me. I'd love to have ya!

Take care and GOOOOOD LUCK!!! You continue to be one of my favorite inspirations.

Thanks Kim. I might take you up on that this next season.

Thanks also for the luck - it should be fun!

    Hi Jen,
I live in the Torrance/Redondo Beach area but unfortunately don't have the time/space to host anyone right now. I will ask around for you. (Laguna? That's 50 miles from here!)

If you have any questions about the area (best hotels, best eats, best paths etc) let me know. The Crowne Plaza is a good place to stay. The rooms aren't fancy, but it's on the shore, gives you access to Gold's Gym, close to restaurants and right on the South Bay bike path.. You can go north to Pacific Palisades or south to the hills of Palos Verdes. They have AAA and Entertainment Book rates, as far as I know.

I will be at the Velodrome next weekend. I will look for you... good luck!

Wow - good luck Jen - I'll be watching the results for your name! I can ask around on the team to see if anyone has relatives down there who might be willing to support another cyclist if you would like.

    Jennifer!

For some reason, you popped into my thoughts. How did you do at the Track Nationals?

    Take care
