    Real name: Julie

Where do you live? Preston, UK

Explanation of your handle: It's a Scottish delicacy (like a battered, deep fried potato burger) which I loved as a teenager - think their disgusting now though.
Explanation of your avatar: Don't have one yet, must get round to it.

    Age (general or specific) 31

    Occupation: Database Administrator

Favorite bike: My new baby, my Titus MotoLite

What's in your stable? My Titus, my Rock Lobster hardtail (gathering dust at the moment), My Ribble road bike (fair weather commuter) my Old Specialized Rock Hopper hack bike (filthy weather commuter), half of a Collela full-suss mtb tandem.

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? about 38mph, on the downhill before arriving at work (still find road brakes scary in comparison to disks)
Another picture of yourself or your ride? Don't have a pic of me on the Titus uploaded yet, but there is one of my hardtail not covered in kak (for a change)
    http://www.jeznewsome.pwp.blueyonder...%20Lobster.htm

Some other pictures of me actually riding my RL and one of me looking worried on the back of the tandem as well as some of our other bikes etc on the website
    http://www.jeznewsome.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Not a good liar

Most memorable moment on my bike: A few, but one I'm most proud of lately is completing the Mary Towneley Loop ( total of 50 mile off road ride - about 90% off road) in crappy weather and headwind from hell and feeling ok the next day.

Most fun ever had on a bike? Around Easter time this year on the Glentress Red mtb route in Scotland. Its not a particularly technical route but the sun was shining (miracle for Scotland), track was dry so railing all the berms, flying along and pedalling harder on the descent than the up, magic!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Welcome to the board aka. So I gotta ask......did your sister get in trouble?? Silly me I have 2 sisters and a brother and it never occurred to me to use Them to get myself outta trouble! Course they probably had just as much or more on me! As for the avatar - type "avatar" in the search box and it should pull up a thread that tells ya how to do one. (coz I can't remember right now how to do it either! )

    Real name: Denise
Where do you live? Phoenix AZ area..

Explanation of your handle: I've had the same handle since I first registered on the Runners World forum. I started as a runner then moved on to Triathlon.

Explanation of your avatar: I wish I could get my pics small enough to HAVE an avatar.

Age (general or specific): 36, On Jan 10th will be 37

Occupation: CHO- Chief household officer.. lol

Favorite bike: Kestrel tri rig - if only they built them small enough for me. Also like to drool over the Orbea's- they're so purty.... ; )

What's in your stable? Specialized Allez Dolce/ Specialized hard rock mtn rig- low end cause I'm not really a dirt girl..

Fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 25+ on some huge hill at a tri in San Dimas last summer. Actually was prolly going 30+ now that I think about it!
Another picture of yourself or your ride? Go here to see my pics.. Still need to add the pic of my bike tho...

What is the biggest lie you've ever told: Hmmmm.. nothing too major. Mostly little fibs to get me out of things. Though I did pretend to be really sick once so I could go riding... hee hee hee

Most memorable moment on my bike: Hmmmm... I did a sprint tri last may that had a two mile climb up a mine road to the turn around. I was tucked in behind a guy going super slow for awhile but holding back cause I didn't want to draft. Finally I realized that I had WAY more gas in the tank than that, so I passed him. I also passed a young guy on a mtn. bike. Well he didn't take to kindly to that, but he was never able to catch up to me. He did catch me on the run though and said "hey, thanks for motivating me on the bike". My reply was "no problem" but I was thinking "must stink to get smoked by a fat chick"...

Most fun ever had on a bike? See above... I thought the bike course was gong to kill me, but it turns out I'm really pretty good on rollers.

    Thanks Corsair...
I don't know how long it's been since you were here, but this place has exploded! The growth is INSANE! Even my favorite "road to nowhere" will soon lead to a bunch of subdivisions! UGH!

Welcome to the board Yasmin. I should get some pixs of my pets posted too - I just hate taking pixs and posting them........guess a camerabug I am not!

and RM-I left Chandler in the fall of 1999 and they were taking about capping the building growth then so I can't even imagine what it looks like now!

Thanks for that SJCzar. I am so happy to have discovered this site & feel right at home already. Russian Blues are so sweet. We've got 4...environmentally friendly & contained indoors or outside in a cat enclosure. All have unique personalities & they don't have a mean bone in thier bodies. Nicer than some humans I know!
