So does ANYONE know how to keep freshly trimmed hairs more friendly-like?? I've looked everywhere for an answer to this but so far to no avail...
Well, I am dating someone... so, we don't have sex all week long, or on random days.

So... I always clip the hair 2 days before we are going to be together.

Now, if only I could get HIM to learn that lesson. He tends to trim his area the day he is going to see me. In addition to that... He got bored and shaved his chest and arms... just getting close to him naked it miserable and prickly. I told him to grow it out... cause I would rather he have hair and feel nice to the touch.

Invite him over and wax him... chest, legs, the works.

After he's done screaming, it could become a very romantic evening

Singletrackmind.. how, exactly, are you trimming?

I use hair clippers (like these, incase we're mixing US/UK language )

I attach a No. 1 comb which generally leaves enough hair to lay flat, (no prickles) and just about enough to wax where I don't want any.

If you don't use the comb attachment, it will be very prickly

Um... have you ever used conditioner...

Maybe trim at a slightly longer length and condition the **** out of yourself! ... conditioner helps...

Whenever I wash the hair on my head, I shapmpoo 'down there' too, including a liberal coating of conditioner... I find it helps the freshly mown grass feel a bit softter to the touch - but if you have a number one, its going to be tricky coz there is nowhere for the remaining hair to go but straight out!

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

    A brushhog and a chainsaw!

Ok, ok, a trimmer with a #1 comb. I'll sure try the conditioner and maybe a #2. The darn things are so pokey and I'm pretty sure I'm only slightly above average in the hairy person department though I can't say I've been checking!
Figures my claim to over-achievement would be in the down-there hair department.
I used to have an open mind but my brains kept falling out.

I use a beard trimmer, designed for side burns and facial hair and bought by BF when he had a goaty beard a few years ago, so it's a bit smaller and not as scarry looking as the pic of the one posted earlier.

This keeps things neatly trimmed, but for those hard to reach areas I use a small pair of nail scissors to very carefully trim underneath. This is not a job you can rush ...!

I also use nail scissors if I've forgotten to re-charge the trimmer and just to keep things in check between buzzing.

Well... him trimming his arms down to bare happened because I wanted to wax him!

His hair was long... so he went home to "trim" it down... and then there was no hair at all. I forgot to tell him to leave some hair so I could wax the area.

Now he won't let me wax him... scared of the pain.

How come he shaved his arms? Is he a swimmer or is he just very hairy? Or did the smooth chest and hairy arms not really match.
Prickly all over must be very uncomfortable for both of you.

Poor baby !!! Good thing Mother Nature didn't trust him with something truly taxing, like childbirth!!!!

Thanks for the clippers idea, ladies! I have a pair languishing in the cabinet. They shall languish no more !!!

I love this board and the crazy turns it can take!!! Thanks all for being so frank and funny !!!!
