I'm looking for bar ends for my bike. Does anyone have any recommendations? or any pros and cons to using bar ends?

Red face I just bought some too.

Hi There, I just purchased bar ends for my hybrid. I wanted an extra hand position for cruising. I think I'll like them we'll see.

I like the most ergonomic shape possible -- and small because I have small hands. Titec seems to keep changing the names but these look like mine.

Depending on how much space you need for your hands between the bar ends and your levers, WTB grips are easy to trim shorter.

Bubba has gone through a couple pairs of bar ends that had odd high tech looks to them but ended up being very uncomfortable. He likes LP Braids Jr which are very similar to my Titecs but a little larger.

I've put bar ends on my Trek Hybrid & find them useful.

Like today for example. There was a head-wind by the coast today, and I spent most of my ride fighting the wind. The aeordynamic position provided by the bar-ends made the ride easier.

My bar ends are set at 45 degree angle from the handlebars & are covered in some foam padding. The padding cost only $5 at my LBS, but is really comfy.

I also find bar-ends come in handy when carrying a loaf of bread home from the local shops. The bread doesn't get squashed that way.

I have bar ends on my Trek mtn bike and love them. I don't use if for aerodynamics as much as I do for a change in position and comfort.

Thanx for all the input! I have such a hard time deciding what kind to get... long or short... ski bend or L-bend... and on and on - I'm much better when I only have a few choices..argghh!!! But I shall perservere and make a decision!

I added bar ends to my hybrid to get more hand positions. I ended up with Ritchey Ergos because I liked the angled design. I'm very pleased with them but found them very uncomfortable until I wrapped them with two layers of Performance gel wrap.
