lol - I don't live in a metric country, but I sure wish I did

Congratulations on hitting the 1000km mark. The next 1000 will be sure to come, and probably even faster than the first 1000!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I too hope to someday say I reached 1,000 miles. I have 113 miles in, I know, small compared to the rest of you, but I remind myself I have not even biked for a month yet.

I love seeing others progress, it encourages me to go further.

    wahooooeeee

    Hey there,

Good to hear you've reached 1000km's...Do you have a km goal to reach for the year?

    I'm a slacker & am only at 2000km's...I have 1400 left..But would like to meet 4000km.

(Long story-We drove from Perth-Melbourne which is approx 3400km and thought to myself hmmm perhaps i can bike that distance in 1yr...Now I sit here and wonder perhaps i should go for the 4000km goal...i'll have a nice behind... )

    Keep riding dear!!!

    Great job!

Yes, I remember the exhilaration I felt when I hit the 1000 mark too! It's a good feeling. Relish it.

    All you women rock!

I know I have already posted, but I just love to read threads like this. They inspire me (still a baby in the cycling world). I am so proud to be on this list with so many wonderfful women who constantly amaze me with their endurance, share their knowledge, and the patience all of you fine women have with newly excited beginners like myself. Thank You!

Congratulations! I really enjoyed watching my computer turn over to 1000 miles this week too! Actually it was one of my goals to ride 1000 miles this year before the summer ended. I don't think I'll be up to a century ride this year as I had hoped, but I did do a metric century.
