    Farm Sprinklers

DH and I have a regular 25mile loop from our home that takes us into farm country. It's a beautiful ride.

We approach a turn - it frames a corn field.

I turn to DH and say "I can't recall the last time re rode past w/out that sprinkler running."

"heh, yep! it seems to always be on," he replies.

As we start to make our turn - I realize just how close the sprinkler is to the road. Along with wet pavement. And wind blowing the water vapor onto the road.

I realize we're gonna get moist. Again, he agrees.

We round the corner. "Be careful on the wet pavement!" he shouts over his soulder, then gets out of his saddle & starts to rush toward dry pavement. Why is he pushing so hard on slick pavement?

    "I wil-" *kshhhh!*kshhhhh!*kshhhhh!*

Moist nothin! That sprinkler was actually hitting the road, and I took three full blasts frontside. COLD.

There isn't a sports bra in the world that could have hidden how cold I was.

DH was laughing & staring so hard he nearly fell over.

LOL - love the part about your DH laughing and staring. Yep a nice light spray is refreshing a drenching not as much fun.
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

You know what I always wonder- do those farm sprinklers always have just water in them? Or fertilizer, manure, anything else?? Sometimes the water doeen't look or smell clear...
