Red face My New Bike, She's gorgeous and so sweet!

I've been waiting since mid-April for my Serotta Ottrott. After all the missed delivery dates she came in yesterday and I picked her up today.

When I walked in the shop there she was, on display, waiting for me to take her home. I just wanted to admire her, I think I would have stood there all day looking at her if the guys hadn't encouraged me to go for a ride.

I'm not sure if its the fit (custom), steering or the materials (ti/carbon) but the ride is out of this world. She weighs 15.4 lbs, without the water bottle hangers, and almost pedals herself.

I originally thought the tt would be sloping but Serotta was able to build it with just a slight slope. The head tube is built up high but it doesn't look awkward like my Aegis with the spacers and steep stem. The height of the handlebars can be adjusted without changing the stem.

I had her built for 650c wheels so she's perfectly proportioned.

She's too pretty to ride or get dirty! Her color is slate, a dark grey, and greyish pink.

This is the first bike I've ever had that really fit me and she just feels so natural, she just disappears underneath me.

Sorry, I wish I could show pix but my camera needed to be repaired and it is due to be delivered from Canon on Monday. As soon as it gets here I promise to post some.

Your biggest challenge isn't someone else.
It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs and the voice inside that yells "CAN'T".
But you don't listen. You just push harder.
And then you hear the voice whisper "CAN".
And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.

I can't put her in the garage, she's sitting in my hallway! I think my SO is worried that she'll be in bed with us tonight!

She's a liitle bike but rides like the big ones I used to have, I can't explain exactly what that means but I think its good!

Oh, the Tune rear hub sings to me and she's just so confident of herself! I didn't get to demo this bike, disadvantages of being small, so I had no idea what she was going to be like!

    Congratulations Kathi!!!
I too am vertically challenged and when my husband convinced me that I should buy a WSD Trek 5200 with 650 tires what a difference! I can't wait to see your pictures. I'll bet you find you ride smoother, faster and hurt less after long rides with the ride fit.
