I just got back from my vacation to Canada. A whole week of fishing, sitting on the boat, eating a lot of food, no exercise. Basically a lot of fun but I almost forgot how to pedal. I went riding on Sunday morning and my legs felt really heavy. Yes, there was a point when I was going pretty fast - 28 mph on the flats - for about half a mile. Then I pushed myself going 16 uphill. And thenbonked. I could hardly produce any speed going 14-15 mph for 8 miles to get back home. This was the longest ride home for me since I started riding. I know that I will get back in the groove, I just want it to happen faster. I guess, I just need encouragement.

Minnitaki Lake - Northwestern Ontario. Just beautiful out there! But fishing is a lot of work. This was my first trip with husband's family. I am telling you, i'd rather be riding my bike all this time.![]()
I'm heading to Edmonton for a week next Saturday. Trying to imagine going for an entire week without biking. We're actually taking our bikes with us but won't be able to do too much since I'll have the little guy with me too.
Anyway, glad you like our part of the continent!
