Top photo's Veronica - looks like a good day out.

But those hills are totally insane!!!!! I guess people who live in San Francisco must have some serious calf muscles walking up and down there. They ought to put in escalators...

What a great place to watch a bike race.

Now I'm home from work I've had time to have a closer look at the photos and they're brilliant. Great one of Nicole Cooke in her Britsh Champion's jersey.

There's some great pictures of the girlies - I especially like the one's you took at wheel level.

Good ones of the men too - a steep hill is a good opportunity to get some nice clear pics as they're not going as fast as normal. The number of blurred photos I've taken over the years, or better still are the nice clear ones of a riders back wheel as I took the shot just a fraction too late Might have to ask for some photography tips.

    Veronica,

I agree with the others- yours are the best pictures that I have seen! Great one of Lance. Thanks for sharing.

It was my first time watching the race, and it was amazing. We will definitely be back next year.

Thanks all. We had a wonderful time. We've got a bunch of other great shots too. It was hard to choose what to put up. Thom took those street level shots. He was lying down with his head and camera under the barriers. The folks around us were great about giving him space to do that.

Wonderful photos, Veronica! Thank you for posting them. I am so jealous of all of you that live near and can go and see racing like that! Thanks for sharing!
