    My Ride today...

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I managed to harrass Bikerchick68 long enough to get her to let me tag along for a ride and today was the day! We started in San Marcos at Restaurant Row (IHOP) and headed west to the beach.... Here are some pics en route:

Mac, Kathy (purepink), Bill, and Jennifer (BC68)

    A view from the road

We stopped at this cute little coffee/bagel etc. place in Leucadia and sat down for a while... this is us getting back on the road

It was only 26+ miles but a little hard for me as they are a bit faster than I'm used to riding. I managed to keep up without holding them up too badly but it started getting pretty warm as we finished (coming out of the fog at the coast)... here's a picture of us before we left for home (btw, it was 103 when I got home today!)

That's Jennifer (bikerchick68), me (tprevost), and Kathy (purepink) on the right.

Thank you ladies (and Mac & Bill too!) for letting me tag along, what a great ride! AND, thank you SOOOOOOOO much Jen for the help w/decents!! YEAH!!!

    Tracy,

Looks like a great ride. Leucadia is such a great small town. I recognize the yellow walls of Pannikin.

Next time you're down in that area, stop by VeeGee donuts in Cardiff - best donuts anywhere!

it was such a fun day... don't let tprevost fool you... she rode very well! It was fun just being out on such a beautiful day with friends...

pretty amazing... you head to the coast and you can literally feel the temp drop suddenly... unfortunately you have to ride back inland on the way back... and it's a false flat with some small climbs the whole way... about 8 miles (?) yeah, somewhere around 8 miles in 95 degree heat... whoo... I was a sweaty chick!

laughlaugh... veegee's? hmmmm... haven't heard of that place... will have to check it out... sometimes I ride further and stop at Java Depot... they are connected to a juice smoothie place... great for a really hot day!

cali... LOL... yeah, I have to admit, Hemet was pretty fast for that first 20 miles... we were doing what? 20mph? 21mph? Unfortunately later that day is when my IT Bands really blew up... and I ended up off the bike for a few months... that final 30 miles in was the worst I've ever ridden... damn, it hurt. I remember your DH was hurting that day too... knee issues just stink. sure glad I healed!

Brandy... it was just a wonderful day... wish you all coulda been there...

RunningMommy... that is Kathi's bike... teh day we rode the Stagecoach Century she must've had 50 MEN yell out "cool bike" as they went by... just a ton of compliments on it... it really does look cool...
