I have a nick I want to cover on my Axis' headtube. The celeste areas on my bike have a flat/eggshell finish, not a glossy finish. None of the local dealers have flat celeste paint hanging around, and Bianchi USA didn't either. (I was sort of frustrated with them. First off, they're online shopping cart doesn't work and the website is not terribly user friendly -- I had to search "contact us" to find the page. Then, when I called because the website didnt work, they didn't have any suggestions, or information, they just repeated "We don't have any -- I don't know what else you could do"...).
I ordered a vial of gloss finish celeste paint, but I'd REALLY like the paint to match. Any suggestions?
(The bike is 2005 I think).
Thanks!

I've had good luck with fingernail polish, but I guess that probably wouldn't be available in the celeste color you want.SK's suggestion sounds good!

After the gloss paint has had a long time to dry and harden up you might be able to take off the gloss with some very fine steel wool.
