SoCal Monthly or Bi-Monthly TE Ride????

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Brandy and I were talking and she mentioned that maybe we should try to do a monthly ride in SoCal. It seems the NorCal ladies get together quite a bit but we don't really get an opportunity down here

Who might be interested in coming out once in a while for a ride? We could vary the area so it would be close to everyone at some point and perhaps have the people more 'local' to each area choose routes????

    Ideas??? Comments???? Input???

    Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Sounds like fun, although I wouldn't be able to keep up for a long ride. I could come along for a while, especially if it's flat , and then go save a table wherever we're going to eat (eating'd be involved, right?),

I'm up in LA: how about the beach path along Manhattan/Redondo/Hermosa Beach? Start in Redondo with flat bike paths and then more advanced riders could go do the Palos Verde penninsula (I'll happily wave bye from the afore-mentioned table )

I would love to get together for any ride you girls want to do. Any place, distance, etc. My only holdup is I like to ride with my husband and he is still recovering somewhat from his pelvic fracture.

Well I guess we can start with the ride on the 29th and maybe alternate locations (ie Orange County vs. LA vs Inland Empire etc). I can take the lead on OC rides. Anyone want to be the ride leader for LA and other locals?
Also I guess its subject to availability as summer months I'm booked with docent rides although anyone out there looking to do some mountain biking, I can set up a private docent led ride as well through some of OC's most beautiful locations such as Limestone and Weir Canyons.

Pam, do you do the rides for the Nature Conservancy? I'm not a mountain biker, but I've been meaning to sign the kids and myself up for some of the hikes that they lead.

We've got a few people down in SD County as well, I know BC68 knows a lot of rides in San Diego North County.

I'm willing to find routes in the Inland Empire/Riverside County area and even very north San Diego County. Not sure how great a ride leader I will be as I have never done it but I'm sure willing to give it a try!

Brandy, how tall are you/inseam? Just asking because I could snag DH's mtn bike if you could ride it safely and you wanted to go on one of Pam's rides

    who me????? Nahhhh....., not me!

I'm just under 5'6" and I have fairly long legs but I can ride his bike (not the best fit as the reach is too long for me - but may be okay for a 'tester')

maybe a better question would be what size is your road bike?

that it's soon! I want her to ride with us on the 29th!

Now Tracy, use your temptress powers to convince Tiffanie to sign up for the Cool Breeze in August. She says she's not ready for an organized ride yet, but I know that she will be by the time August rolls around.
