    Time spent here

I woke up today at 5.40 AM cause I have nightmares quite often , and I sat in front of my PC and started reading TE posts. It is now 8.04 and I by now I've read most of the subjects and reply to perhaps 4 of them. But it took me so long. O.k. this is not my mother language but still...

How much time you spent in front your PC while reading all of this
Sometimes I think it would be better for me to spend that time riding instead of reading, but I can't help myself cause I have so much fun here, ... I think this 2 hours were more than enough...

    (...went riding... )

I am sorry you have nightmares...I know that can be rough.

I have spent a stretch of an hour or two reading here, especially last week when I was very stressed about my finals and couldn't sleep but couldn't study anymore (I had already studied 14 hours one day).

It is a nice forum to read, very supportive.

Like you, reading the forums does not get in my ride of actually riding

Ha! If I spent half as much time on my bike as I did on the internet I'd be a goddess!

I am always envious of people who really know more than one language.

I try not to spend too much time here - usually I'm on in the morning, with my cat on my lap.

Previously, I was able to read at work, but our blocker doodad has declared forums to be off limits.

I need to spend less time in the afternoon here, so I go out and ride. But that's also cat in the lap time.

I spend probably more time on this forum than I should..i try once a day to read what's new..not always but I try and then I go and do chores or bike riding. I take all the tid-bits of advice and share them at work with the other girls that bike, so I feel that my time spent on this forum is not a waste at all, no matter how many minutes or hours I spend here..shelly

I think that in Croatia more than 80% young people know English (more or less). I'm not sure but I believe that all high schools have either English or German as obligatory language. I hated German in my gymnasium , it was my second foreign language and I had one professor that was not quite fond of me and I'm sorry that i haven't learned it. Now I'm learning it and I pay $700 per year cause I'll need it for my future job... Message to all students - pay attention at classes, one day you may actually need it I just hope to learn it, at least, as half as I know English.

iFKA, I, too, am impressed with your knowledge of English. Seems like you'd do well at German, too, since English is basically a Germanic language. Good luck with that!

BTW, just a point of clarification: your gymnasium is like our high school, right?

Yes, we have 8year elementary than 3 or 4 years high school (witch includes gymnasium). And after you finish 4 year high school you can go to university
BTW... it sounded like I'm praising myself but I just wanted to say that it isn't anything special cause most of our children start with learning foreign language when they're 9-10 years old.
