Hi all hoping for some race advice (didn't know if this should go in the race results thread).
The local bike club has a Time Trial training series that I've signed up for. So far, done a couple of 5 mi TTs and a 10 mi TT. The next is 40 km!
As I understand it, the strategy is to go all out - max that HR and cadence and go for it - that's what I've been doing and it's worked out OK.
But, for 25 milesno way can I keep that up. So, what's the strategy - get in good enough shape and max everything out next year? Or, is there more of a pacing strategy for the "longer" TTs?
BTW - these aren't flat, I had erroneously thought TTs were flat and was amazed by the elevation (2-4% on the way out, and -2-4% on the way back - not much, but not flat)
thanks,
Sue
