Between the rain and going on daylight savings time today, I'm doing my best imitation of Madeline Kahn doing her Marlene Dietrich imitation in Blazing Saddles: "I'm Tired."

SK: "Tired of love uninspired. Let's face it I'm pooped."

My brother in law went to boat building school in Maine. Maybe he can help.

I had a therapist friend over for dinner on Saturday and she reminded me that if you're really serious about slitting your wrists you need to "go long".

I've made a mix of songs about rain to listen to when I can't take it anymore - here are some of my faves (there are some great rain songs out here...)

We can play these on the ark's in-dash CD player-

"I can't stand the rain" - The Commitments
    "A Hard rain's gonna fall - Dylan
"Out of the Rain" - Etta James
    "Stormy Weather" - Billie Holiday
"Who'll stop the rain" - Creedence
"Here comes the rain again" - Eurythmics

    and so on... repeat...

so is this ark gonna have a trainer on it?

a friend on another list proposed building an ark, to which I replied "can I ride my bike on it?" . She said yes, if I got a springer attachment thingie so that I could run her dog.

    I'm gettin' webbed feet here!

The deck of the ark might be big enough for laps. Maybe we could make it with banked sides and have our own velodrome on the ark! That sounds fun, as long as I don't have to have a fixed gear bike!!

Where are our engineers? How many of us needed for a pedal-powered propeller and what speeds can we achieve? And can we make ice cream and smoothies at the same time?

I only just discovered that such things were available online when I started searching for the perfect garden bench plan.

Of course, there are many others if this one doesn't have the right ark for you.

"Singin' in the Rain" -- how could we forget?

Can anyone tell I was raised on musicals?
