You guys know you can't get into 2006 IM Florida unless you buy a corporate spot, or qualify, or are at one of the halfs where they give out slots first come first serve, only you still have to pay...It closes out within hours of opening.

Ok, Denise... Are you ready to get back on your bike yet - or have you been already? I am starting to build up here pretty quick and if you're going to do IMFL with me (did we ever hear an answer on that one from you??? hm..) then we should probably start riding, girlie! Whaddya think?

Hey, Nanci...I'm already registered, I hit the "go" button in the first 3 hours when registration opened up in November.Originally Posted by Nanci
Hey Melisa,
How's the training going? Are ya ready for Big Sur??? I want to go to FL to cheer you on too! Not sure I can get away with it but ....hmmm....![]()

:-) It's good! I'm tapering. To quote RM - all hail the taper! I only have a 90 minute long run this weekend and then Big Sur is on the 30th. I am excited and anxious to have it over with and then the big stuff starts!!Originally Posted by tprevost
Big Sur isn't considered Big Stuff huh? You are too cute! 8-)
mommelisa, Glad you got in! Things are looking grim for BF- he was counting on getting a spot at Gulf Roast, but now has to work, and is in training, so is leery of calling in sick even for one day. Of course we have the Iron Distance Great Floridian two weeks before IM, but apparently, it has to be the real thing. I'd have thought once you _did_ the real thing, then a wannabe would be ok.
I bet even if he isn't in, we'l be going anyway, since all his buddies will get in...

Well even if I could get the husband to pony up the thousand clams for a charity fund slot, I couldn't do it. I have NYCM in November. Well actually my cousin Terrie does, but I'm going to be there to cheer her on. Just like she did for me!!![]()
I'm almost ready to get back on the bike. I need to take the next two days to get the house in order then I'm back on the wagon, errr tri rig...![]()
I feel like a lump!! I think I cleared Vegas of chocolate this weekend.
I needed to get it out of my system, because as of now I'm on a mission.
Since doing the race I now have a clear vision of where I am, and where I want to be. So with that I'm really going to tackle this weight thing and get it under control. I'm also bound and determined to become a faster/better swimmer and cyclist. These are my goals for the next year. I hope to step to the line of IMAZ 07 a completely changed woman.
So here it is girls, my plea to you..... KEEP ME ACCOUNTABLE!!!!![]()
I know I can count on you!!!
cheers!

LOL! I didn't mean it that way! It's big stuff alright, but I'm talking the EPIC stuff - like 6 and 7 hour rides!Originally Posted by tprevost

First - you have every right to have enjoyed the last week - for goodness sake - you lost something like 10,000 bazillion calories last weekend, one week of rest and hanging is well deserved!! I hope you won some money in Las Vegas - enough for the MDot pendant with the diamonds.Originally Posted by Running Mommy
So - you let us know what we can do and we're there for you, RM! You have an entire group of cyber-sisters here and a few (moi!) are even in town, so count on us for sure!
