Specialized Ruby - converted from original

I bought a Specialized Ruby (51.5) in 2011. I needed to sit more up-right, so I converted the drop down bars to flat bars. I don't ride this bike anymore, but it will cost almost $550 to convert back to drop bars and put back on Ultegra components. I don't have the original parts.
Question...should I try to sell "as is" or spend the money to put back to original or almost original condition. Very few miles. And any suggestions for selling price?

That sounds very high, I had a bike built from scratch, including cutting the steerer tube, for $160.00 a couple of months ago. It was their standard price for full bike builds with no extra parts needed.

I think that price was including parts, since she's already sold the original parts. Considering the price of brifters, that's probably parts only, a lot of shops will include the labor.

Is it full Ultegra otherwise? What about the wheels? Do you plan to sell it with saddle and pedals (personally I'd offer them as an option - might make the bike more attractive to someone who's starting fresh, but not everyone will want the same as you have or be interested in paying for it).

To me, sell vs convert back depends on what bike you would buy if you sold it. Are you happy with the frame or looking for a better fit? Planning to do the same kind of road riding or some other focus? If you were building your ideal bike, what other components would you change?

A bike dealer gave me $150 for bars and Ultegra front shifters...think I didn't get enough for them. I'm just going to ride my old Klein Fervor off road and one, so don't really want this bike for any purpose. thanks for all the input and I'll just try and sell as is..but a lower price than excellent shape from blue book. I had no idea there was even a blue book price for bikes. Thanks everyone
