totally off subject regarding Testosterone cream?

I have an iud the gives off progesterone so my labido has gone away a bit. My gyno recommened and perscribed testosterone cream. I am suppsoed to put this under my arms. Has anyone used this stuff? Any noticable side effects? My pharmacist said I wouldn't loose any weight but that my muscle to fat would be greater, simply put "your clothes would fit better". What does he mean by that? And he said my memory would get better! Does that sound crazy or what?
All my girlfriends are dying to know if it works.

About 5 years ago, my gyno and I talked about the lagging labido issue and I tried it. It was a vaginal external application-not underarms and nothing seemed to change for me. I was a bit leary thinking that if I "over dosed" on the cream I didn't want to deal with a growth of facial hair!! Nothing I read said anything about memory improvement and considering that my testestoroned husband can't remember where he left the car keys, I would doubt the memory improvement! I would love to find something that would bring back the "fun"....why can't some drug company come up with a Viagra for Women???

I think for men libido is a physical issue. But for women, no. If yours is lagging explore why. Is your partner attentive to your needs? Is sex and foreplay fun and enjoyable? Is it poor body image that's keeping you from pleasure? Are you too comfortable with your partner and need to spice things up?

I would strongly urge some psych counseling before resorting to testosterone which can cause all sorts of other problems. Even someone who has gone through menopause or had a total hysterectomy can get turned on so desire is seldom if ever physical, definitely 99% mental which testosterone cannot help.

PS: Sounds like you are getting some advice to take anabolic steroids or which testosterone qualifies. Ran away! It's not worth the pain and anquish and the blemishes, lower voice, facial hair, deceased body fat, including breast tissue, enlarged labia (think male genitals), etc. Are you old enough to remember "In Living Color" and the female character played by Jim CArrey who had obviously taken too much Testosterone? You want to look like that??????

ahhhhhhhhhh . That is scary! I am glad I only paid $10. for it. This is why I was asking. I don't have any women I can talk to about this that have this problem I don't want my friends to think I am having problems you know. Cause I don't think I am really. Jusy having a bit of a bump in the relatinonship of 19 years. I am sure that is normal.
