This is my favorite pic from the 3-State 3-Mountain Century last Saturday. It was a 100 mile ride with a total elevation gain of 9600 feet. This picture was taken from the top of Sand Mountain, in Alabama. You can see the bridge over the Tennessee River, 20 miles earlier, in the valley below. That was where people had to decide if they were doing the metric, with no more mountains, or the full Century, with two more! This may be my favorite ride ever.

Just as I pictured it. So purty.
I hope to get there to do that ride someday. I have a dear friend in Knoxville and we always talk about doing that one together. It always falls around my BD, too, so it would be a good treat to myself...someday.
