This might be my new bike!!!

The Police still haven't released our recovered stolen bikes. They need them for evidence. I had bought a Trek Domane to replace the Ruby Elite but when the bicycles were recovered, I canceled the order. I didn't think I needed two bikes so closely related, although I really did like the Domane. I decided to order a different new hybrid. I am looking at this: http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes.../fx/7_6_fx_wsd

Does anyone have any comments? The only thing I worry about is the size of the bike. I compared the bike geometry to my Ruby 44 and the 7.6 FX WSD seems somewhat larger. The LBS ordered the bike so I won't know until I try it out.

When I get my new bike I will get to change my signature.

I had an FX 7.3 that I recently sold. I couldn't get it to fit right. That one and the Trek Lexa did not feel comfortable no matter how many adjustments were made. There was just something about the geometry of those two models that don't do it for me. I love my Trek mountain bike.

I also didn't like the disc brakes. They made crazy screeching sounds in the crosswinds. Everyday on the way home from work it was like having a herd of angry screaming squirrels riding with me.

The bike was smooth though, and pretty fast for a hybrid. I bought a Specialized Vita after I sold it.

I think you will like the 7.6! I ride a small Ruby too, I think I prefer the geometry of the Fx though - to both my Ruby & the Vita, which I also tried out.
