online event managers for bike rides?

OUr club has been really pleased with using signmeup.com to have online registration for our invitational ride. They've got really good templates so that we just put in our information and, voila! there's a web page, and people can go there, fill it in, sign the waiver for thelegal stuff and they have real people, who will answer phones when you call with questions.

... but the fees don't make sense for us, since they tack $1.25 onto every transaction, which is a pretty hefty chunk on our $15 ... maybe we should just pass that on to the riders, but does anybody have other options? Google is not going to be doing that stuff any more...

I was really intrigued until I saw the fee. Yeah, my riders wouldn't want to pay that!

It's a shame because it's really a great service. Active.com has similar service with a lot of baggage (like you have to stick their logo on *all* promotional materials, and you are limited in how you can promote your event that isn't through them).

From a participant standpoint, $1.25 seems more than reasonable to me. I'm used to paying a higher surcharge than that for running events, anywhere from $2.50 to $5.00, whether it's through Active.com or a regional company.

Heck, if Racketmaster can add $7.85 to a $25.00 concert ticket ...

I think it's a reasonable fee. I would pay that along with my registration.
