Q: can you wear the jersey if you've never been much less ridden there? Or is that a bike fashion "don't"?

Yikes, do you have to ride in the snow like that to get one?

Well, given the fact that MANY people (especially guys, it seems) wear the jerseys and shorts of professional teams they could never even dream of keeping up with, I assume it would be okay to wear the jersey of a state you've never ridden in, or even been to, imho.

Yeh I think its ok, if you read a few of the blurbs from people with these jerseys on the sight its quiet funny. One rider said she got heaps of comments on the Alaska jersey while riding in Utah and being from Socal.

Im thinking of getting the Alaska one. I have been there so I figure that qualifies me to wear it.
