Quilt raffle to benefit American Lung Association (via my Big Ride Across America)

    To disable ads, please log-in.

My mother has generously donated her time and money to handcraft this incredible quilt to help raise money for the American Lung Association via my Big Ride Across America this summer! It is 104" x 104" meaning it hangs long on a queen bed and slightly shorter on a king bed.

Tickets are $2 each or 6 for $10.

If you are interested in buying raffle tickets (shipping costs are guaranteed), you can do so by making a donation to my fundraising page here:
    http://action.lungusa.org/goto/larissapowers
And then in the message putting your name, email, and mailing address. I will mail you the stubs as soon as I get the donation. Or you can PM me after you make the donation.

ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION. The labor and materials were donated, and I will personally cover the shipping costs. I have personally donated $2150 to cover the portion of my fundraising goal that will support me during the ride this summer, so you can rest assured that your donation will go toward the wonderful programs and efforts of the ALA.

    Some pictures:

Once I can get back over to my office, I'll post a picture of the raffle tickets. They are big and beautiful with a picture of the quilt to remind you of what it looks like.

The drawing will be on May 28th!

Absolutely! You can make it out to The American Lung Association. I will PM you the address.

And thanks for reminding me... I should update my profile!

I'm also partnering with a local St. Louis restaurant and we're doing a Bike to Brunch event to raise money later this spring. So many exciting things coming!

Congratulations to Team Estrogen user Five One! She is the winner of the quilt raffle!!!!

The quilt will be shipped to her later this week.

I humbly thank everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause. It really has been eye opening how generous and thoughtful everyone is, even perfect strangers. You ladies are an incredible bunch!!!

Here's my tent at the MoPro Tour De Grove race on May 24th... we only sold another 45 tickets or so, but had a great time

Wahoo! As I wrote to Reesha, I never win anything, so I am really excited to be the recipient of her mom's lovely work.

Reesha's event for the American Lung Association begins in a few weeks. It's a major undertaking for the riders supporting a great cause.

Thanks Reesha and Reesha's talented mom!
