    Smile Specialized vs Giant

I am looking at a new bike and have narrowed it down to two. The Specialized Vita Elite and the Giant Dash 2. Does anyone have any experience with these bikes and can give me your opinion? I really like both of them, but thought that the Giant had a little harder ride. All opinions are greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome! I had a similar choice, except I was looking at a slightly lower-specced Dash, there's a similar thread on here somewhere I went for the Vita Elite, as I wanted the ability to go very gently off-road and to tow my daughter in a trailer. I have to say I love the bike completely, it has really changed cycling for me. I still have a soft spot for the colour scheme of the Dash, but definitely made the right choice for my needs. I didn't actually ride the dash as I could see that the Vita was my appropriate.

Hebe it took awhile but I bought my bike and absolutely love it. I would have never thought it would make such a difference. My DH has actually asked me to slow down! I spent more than I had planned and got the Vita Comp. I hope you are enjoying your bike as much as I am enjoying mine

    Smile Congrats on your Vita

I purchased a Vita Elite this spring for commuting the last 9-17 miles of my daily 35 mile commute. I am so in love with my Vita. I find I am riding faster and further then I expected I would. Enjoy your new bike. I believe you made an excellent choice. <G>

Congratulations on your new bike! Great choice. For others on the look also in a similar price range I'd test the Dew Deluxe. Lots of options for racks, fenders if you need them and disc brakes.
