I just use mapmyride or ridewithgps. So much easier to use and upload.

Does anyone have trouble working with google maps to make a bike route. I feel like it is so sensitive.
I got almost done with mapping a ride then the purple route line goes crazy. I tried the undo button but sometimes it makes so many squiggles that I just cant seem to complete a route.
Any tips working with this.
Thanks ~ JoAnn

Google maps isn't so great for bike routes IMO. RidewithGPS is infinitely better and has more accurate elevation than mapmyride.

We use toporoute.com also - much easier to use than Google. I don't think they have all the bugs worked out just yet with the bike routes.

Thank you!!!... I will try all the different options from your replies. I am glad to hear it wasn't just me finding Google Maps hard to work with.
