    Saddle size.

I got measured for a saddle and it turns out I need a 150 in the new Bontrager line. The LBS had a saddle I really wanted but the one on clearance was a 143 or so. The guy at the LBS said it would be fine for me because I need something with less flare, more T, and the bigger saddle flared a little more. It's comfortable. So, my question is, as long as I don't feel any problems with this size, even though I measured a size bigger, is the fit ok? Would I cause any permanent damage to anything such as tissue/nerve/bone issues as long as I don't feel pressure in between?

I'm not a saddle expert but if you got fitted for a 150, I don't know if a 143 will cut it. I know you said it felt comfortable, but did you ride it for a long period of time? My original saddle felt great for the first 20 minutes and then, after minute 21, my butt felt like it was on fire! Can you return/exchange the saddle if it doesn't fit?

I think it depends where exactly you fall. I fall into that range that could go either way in the Specialized saddles (143 vs 155). Ideally, I'd be on a 155 saddle, but my bike is slightly too long, so I'm stretched out a bit more, and I think I'd get chafed to death with the wider transition on a 155.
At least I don't leave slime trails.

I think if you're comfortable there's no reason to obsess over numbers.

If you're uncomfortable (as a lot of us have been on various saddles), numbers are a good way to start the search and eliminate a lot of saddles right off the bat. That's all.
