For Sale: '91 Serotta Colorado II - 49cm

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Looking to sell my '91 Colorado II... to help fund an upgrade to a newer bike.

    Here's what I've got:

    '91 Serotta Colorado II
    Custom paint

    Seat Tube: C-C = 49cm
    Top Tube: C - C = 51.5 cm
    Stand Over height = 29.5"
    Dropouts: Campagnolo
    Cranks: Shimano 105
Bottom Bracket : Shimano Ultegra SM-BB6700
    Headset: Shimano 600
    Pedals: MKS Sylvan
    Seatpost: Thompson
    Saddle: Terry Butterfly Ti Rails
    F Derailleur: Shimano 105
R Derailleur: Shimano Ultegra 9 sp
    Brakes: Shimano Ultegra
Brake Levers/Shifters: Shimano STI (some scratches, cosmetic only)
    Stem: Cinelli (Serotta Pantograph)
    Bars: Cinelli

    Wheels: Shimano WH-RS10
Tires: Continental Grand Prix 4 Season

The Bottom Bracket shell is stamped "MAE & RUSS 91"

It seems to be stock geometry, but the paint and BB shell stamp are obviously custom.

No rust, no dings/dents.. A few chips in the paint, clearly shown in the photos.

PM me with any questions. I have more photos, too.

    Asking for $1000.

    Thanks!
    Kate

    Price drop

Dropping the price to $850. Also, I'll consider selling just the frame/fork/headset if interested.

Nice bike for those who want classic steel and the price is certainly fair.

Thanks for the positive remarks. I forgot to mention the bike is located in Rhode Island, so can be viewed here if anyone interested is local.

Otherwise, I'll have to work out shipping, but can have my LBS, pack it up, no problem.

Still available, and willing to part out. Frame/Fork/Head Set for $475 + actual shipping. Also, I'll throw in the Cinelli Serotta pantograph stem.

    Serotta questions

I'm looking for a vintage US-made steel bike for my wife (5' 2") and found yours through a web search. Is the bike still available? My calculations of her current bike suggest that a 48-49/51 frame size would be ideal.

    Hey Bill...
..Funny you should ask. I just put the frame/fork/hs/stem up on ebay.

    It's here:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/270831337774...84.m1555.l2649

All the components are gone, so if you are looking for a complete bike, this won't be for you.

    Thanks for inquiring, though.

Bill, Please make sure to check her cycling inseam. 29.5" is quite tall for a 5'2" woman to allow any clearance at all. I am also 5'2" and could not stand over that frame; I'd need the next size down. All 48-51cm frame sizes are not built alike (I take more like a 46-47cm).

What is your inseam? I'm three inches taller than you and ride 50cm bikes.
