    New bike! (soon)

Well ladies, I did it. I will soon be the owner of a 2010 Niner EMD!! (Price confirmed today but both the seller and I are taking trips this weekend, so I'll pick it up next week).

I need to pick a saddle, get the bars cut down (this guy had WIDE shoulders for someone my height), and tweak the general fit of the bike, but I'm pretty happy with it. And I actually clipped in today (for the first time in a year) to try it out...didn't have extra flat pedals to swap out. Eek! But not too bad, I might actually be able to re-learn with the clipless pedals on as long as I stay away from super technical stuff.

I've been wanting a new bike for so long but now that I found one I can't believe I made the investment. I'm terrified I'm going to decide, nah, changed my mind, hate mountain biking. Here goes!

Awesome! Congratulations on your lovely new bike

One of these days I would like to test-ride a 29'er just to see how one feels.

That's awesome! Congrats! Post pics when you have a chance.

P.S. I should probably ask this is a separate thread, how wide should bars be anyway? Is there an average size that most women (narrow shouldered women in particular) run? Do most women cut their bars down a bit?
